I recently stayed at a hidden gem in the charming town of Troon, and I must say that my experience at Sandhill House was truly delightful. From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality of the hosts made me feel welcome and cared for. The attention to detail in the beautiful common room, with its cozy wood burning fireplace and comfortable seating, created a wonderful atmosphere to relax and unwind.
Although the road leading to the guest house may need some improvement, it didn't hinder my overall experience. In fact, it added to the secluded and peaceful charm of the property.

The location overlooking the Royal Troon Golf Club was breathtaking. Elaine, the staff member, was extremely helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and walks. Breakfast was first class with a wide selection of freshly cooked options. The grounds were stunning, with horses in the paddock and even an Alpaca and Shetland Pony. I had such a fantastic stay at a charming B&B in a beautiful old Victorian house! The rooms were spacious and had lovely little extras like good shampoo and conditioner. The beds were extremely comfy, and everything was spotlessly clean. The best part was the Alpaca and Shetland pony in the grounds, so awesome! The breakfast had a vast selection to choose from, and the owners made us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this place for a home away from home experience.

As longer term business travelers, we were impressed with the stunning and clever use of space in the standard room. The attention to detail and excellent quality toiletries provided added a luxurious touch. The spotless and beautiful surroundings, along with the lovely hosts, made us feel right at home. The outside areas were a highlight, especially the chance to interact with the adorable animals. We can only imagine how incredible the deluxe rooms must be if the standard room is this good. The breakfast was really nice, although an extra rasher of bacon would have been appreciated. we were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back to enjoy the B&B at a more leisurely pace.
Felt very well looked after, nothing to complain about.

Beautiful house and location
We had a quick overnight stay before our early morning flight for holidays, but I really wish we could have stayed longer. The location of Sandhill House was absolutely stunning and the property itself was just as beautiful. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were made to feel right at home. The room was amazing, with lovely homely touches that made it feel cozy and comfortable. The owners and staff were incredibly accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They even provided transportation for us when we returned from our holidays. The communication throughout our stay was excellent. Although we had to leave too early for breakfast, I had a look at the menu and it looked absolutely delicious. I would definitely love to return to Sandhill House again in the future to fully appreciate everything it has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The warm welcome we received from the hosts was lovely and made us feel at home right away. the cozy atmosphere of the house added to the Christmas spirit and made our stay even more enjoyable. the breakfast spread was exceptional with a wide variety of fresh fruit, juices, muesli, toast, croissants, and a delicious cooked breakfast. It was a great way to start the day and fuel up for our Christmas activities.
The location was a bit difficult to find and we had to rely on GPS to navigate our way. the exterior of the property could use some improvements, as it looked a bit worn out and could have been better maintained.
